despite its popularity, citronella isn't the most effective natural option for keeping mosquitoes away. that's why we created not citronella: a 100% pure beeswax candle crafted with a powerful blend of sustainably sourced essential oils traditionally used to help deter a wide range of insects.
- lemon eucalyptus – widely recognized as one of the most effective plant-based ingredients for helping repel mosquitoes.
- lavender – known for its ability to help discourage mosquitoes, flies, gnats, moths, ants, ticks, and other common pests.
- peppermint – a refreshing essential oil often used to help deter ants, spiders, flies, gnats, moths, wasps, and other unwanted insects.
- tea tree – valued for its natural cleansing properties and traditionally used to help repel lice, bed bugs, and mites.
perfect for naturally bug-free summer evenings.

candle care: for the best burn
our candles are crafted with just two ingredients — 100% pure beeswax and 100% pure essential oils. because they're made without synthetic additives or wax blends, they may burn a little differently than conventional candles.
following these simple care tips will help you enjoy a cleaner burn, longer burn times, and the best overall performance.
before each burn
- trim the wick to ¼" before lighting. this helps promote an even burn and minimizes smoking. always trim a cooled candle and discard wick trimmings in the trash.
- keep the wick centered and free of debris.
for the best burn
- allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the container during each burn, especially the first burn. this helps prevent tunneling and encourages an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
- keep your candle away from drafts, fans, open windows, and air vents, which can cause uneven burning or smoking.
- burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
safety guidelines
- discontinue use when approximately ¼" of wax remains in the jar.
- never leave a burning candle unattended.
- keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
- do not allow the wick to become excessively long or curl over, as this can create a larger flame.
- never move or handle a candle while it is burning or while the container is still hot.
- always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and protect the surface beneath it during use.
