🕯️ products & ingredients
what are the benefits of beeswax candles?
beeswax candles are said to naturally release negative ions when burned, which can help reduce airborne pollutants, allergens, and dust — leaving your air cleaner and your space feeling fresh. raw beeswax is also hypoallergenic, making it a great choice for sensitive environments.
are paraffin and soy candles harmful?
paraffin wax is petroleum-derived and can release toxins when burned. many soy waxes on the market are from genetically modified crops and may contain pesticide residues. our beeswax candles offer a cleaner alternative with minimal soot.
what sizes do your candles come in?
we currently offer:
- 8 oz (1 wick): 3.5" tall x 2.9" wide
- 16 oz (2 wicks): 3.8" tall x 3.6" wide
what type of wicks are used?
we use natural cotton wicks for a clean, consistent burn.
are your candles 100% pure beeswax?
yes — all aire candles are made with 100% pure beeswax sourced from trusted american beekeepers. no added soy, paraffin, or other filler waxes.
are your candles pet safe?
our candles are designed with safety in mind. while the essential oil levels are low and the wax is clean-burning, always ensure proper ventilation and avoid direct contact with pets. consult a veterinarian if you have specific concerns.
where do you source your essential oils from?
we use 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils sourced sustainably from around the world.
🔥 candle care & burning
how do I get the best burn from my candle?
for optimal results:
- trim the wick to ¼" before lighting.
- allow the wax pool to reach the jar’s edge on all burns.
- trim the wick to ¼" before each relight.
- never leave burning candles unattended.
why does my candle keep extinguishing itself?
this is usually due to room drafts or a burnt wick. try trimming a small amount of the wick to expose fresh cotton before relighting.
what should I do if my candle is tunneling?
tunneling happens when the wax near the edge doesn’t melt evenly. you can:
- wrap foil around the outside of the candle (just allow steam to escape).
- use gentle heat (like a hairdryer) to even out the wax.
- place it in a low oven (175°F) briefly to level the pool.
to avoid additional tunneling, do not trim your wick until the tunnel has gone away.
why is the flame so large?
a flame that’s too big usually means the wick is too long. trim the wick to help regulate the flame and improve burn time.
why did my candle develop crack?
beeswax shrinks as it cools — sometimes creating natural surface cracks. these are cosmetic and don’t affect performance.
