wax melter compatibility
beeswax wax melts are compatible with most standard wax melters, but they require higher heat to melt properly compared to soy or paraffin waxes. because pure beeswax has a high melting point of around 144°F to 147°F, low-wattage electric melters may struggle to fully liquefy them and release their scent.
melter compatibility:
- tealight melters are most compatible. the open flame produces enough heat to easily melt pure beeswax.
- electric melters are generally compatible, provided the unit has a sufficient wattage or a hot enough warming plate. if you have a lower-wattage electric warmer, your wax might not melt completely, resulting in a weak scent throw.
tips:
- check the wattage: look for electric melters specifically designed to handle tougher waxes (usually those running between 15W and 24W).
- safety first: since beeswax requires a higher heat source, always ensure your melter is rated for the temperatures required and placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
how to use
simply pop the wax melt into the dish of your wax burner. if you're using an electric warmer, there should be a switch or button to turn it on. if you're using a tea light warmer, simply light your tea light and pop the tart into the designated hole below the dish.
